New Jersey Senior Olympic Games 2023

Dear Scotch Plains Athletes 50 years or older:

We are looking for seniors to participate in the New Jersey Senior Olympic Games to be held, for the seventh consecutive year, in Woodbridge Township from September 8 - 10, 2023.

The New Jersey Senior Olympic Games features 23 sporting events and competitions. Maleand female athletes who are 50 years or older compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze in various age categories: 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89; and 90+. The Olympic Games include archery, basketball, foul shooting/accuracy, basketball 3 on 3, billiards, bocce, bowling, cornhole, cycling, darts, fencing, golf, horseshoes, miniature golf, racquetball, swimming, table tennis, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.

These games are played in different venues throughout Woodbridge Township including the Woodbridge Community Center, The Club at Woodbridge and the newly upgraded Woodbridge High School running track and event fields.

To be eligible to compete, you must be 50 years or older as of December 31, 2023.

The deadline to register August 25, 2023.

In order to encourage participation in the upcoming games, the Township will be offsetting the registration fee for Scotch Plains residents. The general admission fee stands at $40, but weare willing to pay $30 for any participants that sign up before August 25th. When you go to register online, the price will be fixed to only $10 to play in a three-day Olympic competition.
