Notice is hereby given that a Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals (collectively the "RFQ/RFP") will be issued by the Township of Scotch Plains ("The Township") on November 1, 2018. The Township is seeking qualifications and proposals from qualified and experienced redevelopers to redevelop the approximately 8.22+/- acre public portion of property available for purchase as identified in the Downtown Tier 1, Phase 1 Redevelopment Area in accordance with a Redevelopment Plan endorsed by the Scotch Plains Township Council.

RFQ/RFP for the Redevelopment of Tier 1, Phase 1 Section of the Scotch Plains Downtown
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Request for Qualifications and a Request for Proposals (collectively the “RFQ/RFP”) has been issued by the Township of Scotch Plains (the “Township”) as of November 1, 2018. The Township is seeking qualifications and proposals from qualified and experienced redevelopers to redevelop the approximately 8.22+/- acre public portion of property available for purchase as identified in the Downtown Tier 1, Phase 1 Redevelopment Area (the “RFQ/RFP Redevelopment Area”) in accordance with a Redevelopment Plan endorsed by the Scotch Plains Township Council (the “Council”). Proposals may also include any of the privately owned parcels or a combination of the publicly owned parcels and the privately owned parcels identified in the Redevelopment Plan.

Draft Redevelopment Plan for the Tier 1, Phase 1 Section of Scotch Plains Downtown
Township Planner Harbor Consultants introduced the draft Redevelopment Plan for Tier 1, Phase 1 section of the Scotch Plains Downtown dated September 20, 2018. The draft redevelopment plan and was endorsed by the Scotch Plains Township Council on September 25, 2018. The Council has authorized the issuance of Request for Qualifications / Request for Proposals (RFQ/RFP) for developers to submit plans for development consistent with the goals and objectives of this plan.
