Ruck to Remember Memorial Day Walk

It's time once again to lace up your boots for the annual "Ruck to Remember," a 6.5-mile memorial ruck march honoring the spirit and sacrifice of our nation's heroes. American Legion Post 209, with the proud support of VFW Post 10122, is excited to continue this important tradition on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, starting promptly at 8:00 AM.

Participants can look forward to a supportive environment with 2-3 water and snack stations along the route. We're hoping to have bagels available at the Legion after the ruck for a post-march refuel and fellowship. 

Participation is FREE, and American Legion Post 209 gratefully welcomes donations to further our mission of enhancing the well-being of our town's veterans, their families, our military personnel, and our community.

The 6.5-mile route is as follows:

• Start: American Legion Post 209 (237 Park Ave)
• Head southbound on Park Ave
• Right onto La Grande Ave
• Right onto Terrill Rd
• Right onto South Ave
• Left onto Hetfield Ave
• Left onto Crestwood Pl
• Right onto Morse Ave
• Left onto Plainfield Ave (continuing down Westfield Ave)
• Right onto Henry St
• Left onto Mountain Ave
• Right onto Union Ave
• Left onto Sunset Pl
• End: American Legion Post 209
