Scotch Plains to Host “Small Business Saturday” With a “Cops, Cocoa, and Community” Event on November 27

SCOTCH PLAINS – November 8, 2021 – On Saturday, November 27, the Township of Scotch Plains, in partnership with the Scotch Plains Business & Professional Association, is hosting a Small Business Saturday event along with a “Cops, Cocoa, and Community” event sponsored by the community policing unit of the Scotch Plains Police Department.

Stop by the Alan Augustine Village Green from noon to 3 p.m. to pick up a “Shop Small” tote bag with coupons for businesses and free hot chocolate. Shop at any Scotch Plains business to earn raffle tickets. Prizes include five $100 gift cards for use at any Scotch Plains business. Shoppers will earn one raffle ticket for every local purchase. Anyone who shops in Scotch Plains on November 27 is eligible.

Any type of small business counts for this promotion, including restaurants, professional services, health and wellness services, spas, etc. All Township businesses are included, so explore the great offerings on Park Avenue, East 2nd Street, Route 22, Mountain Avenue, Westfield Avenue, and North and South avenues.

Shoppers can bring a receipt as proof of purchase to the welcome table at the Alan Augustine Village Green on November 27 to enter the raffle. Winners will be announced at 3 pm and do not need to be present.
