Scotch Plains Summer Road Repaving - Week of 8/10-17

Weather permitting, the Township will be completing road milling and paving projects for the season at the following locations:

Rolling Knolls & Hidden Hollow

  • Milling is scheduled to take place on August 14 and paving on August 17-18
  • Road Closure: 7:30 a.m. - approximately 4:30 p.m. The roads will re-open each evening.
  • The project will take approximately 3 days.

Judy Lane

  • Milling is scheduled to take place on July 31 and paving on August 5-6
  • Road Closure: 7:30 a.m. - approximately 4:30 p.m. The roads will re-open each evening.
  • The project will take approximately 2 days (up to 3 days if necessary).

Jacobs Lane *update*

  • Milling is scheduled to take place on July 30-31 and paving on August 4-5.
  • Road Closure: 7:00 a.m. - approximately 4:30 p.m. The roads will re-open each evening.
  • Milling and paving will only take place on the portion of the road that the Gas Company did not do last year.
  • Due to the length of the portion that will be worked on, the project will take approximately 4 days.

Rivervale Court 

  • Work is scheduled to begin on or about July 22 with milling and July 23 for paving
  • Road Closure: 7:00 a.m. – approximately 4:30 p.m. The roads will re-open each evening.
  • The project will take approximately 2 days.

Berryllium Road & Farley Avenue (between E. 2nd St.  & Fanwood border)

  • Work is scheduled to begin on or about July 15 with milling and July 16 for paving
  • Roads Closure: 7:30 a.m. – approximately 4:30 p.m. There will be no vehicle access. The roads will re-open each evening.
  • The project will take approximately 2 days (up to 3 days if necessary).

Hetfield Avenue Bridge

  • Work is scheduled to begin on or about July 7, with paving planned for July 8.
  • Road Closure: 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No vehicles will be permitted on this section of the road until the project is complete, which is expected to take approximately 2 days.
  • This project will be completed by the Scotch Plains Department of Public Works (DPW) in conjunction with the Borough of Fanwood.

Marlboro Road

  • Milling is scheduled to begin on or about June 30.
  • Paving is scheduled for July 1–2.
  • Road Closure: Approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. The road will reopen each evening.
  • The project is expected to take 2–3 days to complete.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during these roadway improvements. Please plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time while work is underway.
