Storm Debris Branch Collection Beginning July 13
In response to the storm, Scotch Plains will offer residents an additional, no-cost pick-up for branches. All debris must be placed at the curb by Sunday, July 12. Please note that stumps cannot be included in the storm debris, as they will break the machinery and cause a major pickup delay. This pick-up is for fallen branches no more than six (6) feet in length and 2 inches in diameter; no other items will be collected. Crews will cover both sides of town simultaneously and will make one pass only. Also, please note that this emergency pick-up was unplanned and other projects, such as road paving, are scheduled for this summer. Scotch Plains asks for your patience as the DPW schedules debris pickup around existing commitments. As an alternative, residents can also dispose of tree debris, but not stumps, at the Westfield Conservation Center for an annual fee of $120.
