Leaf Pick-Up - Beginning October 26

Leaf pick-up will begin on or about October 26, 2026.

LEAVES ONLY – no branches or grass. Leaf piles containing these materials will not be picked up and will be left behind.

You may put out respective items up to 10 days prior to the scheduled pick-up date.

Some important facts:

• Only biodegradable paper bags will be accepted. Do not bag leaves in plastic.
• Residents should place loose leaves curbside in neat windrows approximately one foot from the curb. Leaf piles must be at least 10 feet from drainage inlets to allow water to drain properly.
• Please do not park your vehicles within 20 feet of the leaf piles to allow sufficient space for the pickup operations.
• Residents should ensure leaf piles are free of branches, rocks, stumps, etc., to prevent equipment damage.
• Weather permitting, sweepers will be operating after the last collection cycle in December.
• From October 30th through December 31st, residents may drop leaves off at the DPW yard on Plainfield Ave. between 7:30 am – 2:30 pm.

The last day residents should put leaves out is December 15th.
